L'Oreal Colour Riche Eyeshadow

First I feel as though I should introduce myself. My name is Sarah and I've been a bit of a beauty addict since high school, although it didn't come into full force until college when I had some extra money to spend. Instead of saving for a rainy day, I bought and explored MAC makeup.

Now, years later, as a stay at home mom of two lovely boys, I find myself wearing make up less and less. Not because I don't want to, but because I don't want to bother taking it off at night if I've never left the house. Don't get me wrong, if I'm going out for the day (likely to Target) I try to put a little something on. But this blog is a way for me to keep my passion alive.

Onto the good stuff...

I had a few friends tell me about the L'Oreal Colour Riche eyeshadows and I couldn't resist picking up a couple. L'Oreal describes them as "Gel-to-Powder". I'd say they're more cream to powder, but it's a good description nonetheless.

I grabbed two shades at Walgreens--207- Pain au Chocolat and 204- Cafe au Lait
Upon first swipe I'm totally impressed. The color payoff is fantastic and they are SO smooth. I haven't worn them yet (there haven't been any Target trips recently), so I can't attest to staying power, but they're next on my list of things to wear when I finally do put a full face on.

Pain au Chocolate and Cafe au Lait

SO smooth!

This was a bit lighter than I was expecting, but I think it will make a great all over wash.

I'm hoping this won't be too dark for my super pale self, but if all else fails, I could use it as a liner.

The Colour Riche shadows retail for $5.99, but there is a $1 off coupon currently at Walgreens. I think it's good through the end of the month.

  1. Cafe au lait looks more vanilla/gold on the swatch rather than the taupe in the pan. So pretty!
